  • Why can't I hear anything coming out of the speakers?
All of our music software must be routed through our Tascam FW-1884 Mixer (the unit on with sliders, mounted on a stand with wheels). Follow these steps:
  1. Turn off the FW-1884, if it is on.
  2. Make sure the computer is on and logged in.
  3. Close all music software (such as FruityLoops and Windows Media Player).
  4. Turn the FW-1884 on, and wait a brief moment.
  5. Near the upper-right corner of the FW-1884, there are three buttons: "Computer", "MIDI Control", and "Mon Mix". Make sure the "Computer" button is active.
  6. Above the "Computer" button, there are three round knobs, labelled "Solo", "Monitors", and "Phones Level". Set the "Monitors" knob to 12 o'clock.
  7. On the FW-1884, there are 9 vertical up-down sliders. Set the "Master" slider on the far right to 50%.
  8. On the computer, click "Start Menu>Control Panel" or "Start Menu>Settings>Control Panel"
  9. Open "Sounds and Audio Settings".
  10. Go to the "Audio" tab.
  11. Make sure the "Output" device is set to "FW-1884 Analog 1:2"
  12. Close the Audio Settings window.
  13. Open one and one audio software (such as FruityLoops).
  14. Open the Audio Settings or Devices screen in the audio software. This could be on the "Options" menu, or in "Edit>Preferences".
  15. Find the "Output Device" or something like that. Make sure it's set to "FW-1884 Analog 1:2"
  16. Close the software.
  17. Reopen the music software.
  18. You should now be able hear audio from the music software.

  • How can I sell my beats to rappers or producers?

Selling your music is always a challenge, and takes a lot of patience and effort. You must constantly promote yourself. There's a lot of competition, so you must strive to make your music better all the time. Personal connections are always the most profitable.

One approach is to team up with talented rappers you know personally, and promote each other.

Here are some resources to explore. Proceed with caution, we have not confirmed that these are legit. Never give anyone a lot of money to promote your music, no matter what they promise:
