Marvin Robinson, a Bayview Native, was the influential Program Director of San Francisco's highest-rated radio station, KSOL, and Vice President of BMG Records. He produced or "broke" many top 40 hits, like Prince's "Kiss", and hits by the Fat Boys, Eric B & Rakim, Brian McKnight, Pebbles, LL Cool J, TLC, and many more.

Marvin has a heart for this community. He. recalls standing on the corner of Palou and 3rd, twelve hours a day, 7 days a week. He went on to become a radio personality, successful executive for BMG/Zoo/RCA/Sony Records in New York City and Los Angeles, and Vice President at RCA Records.

Mr. Robinson will come to the Bayview YMCA to talk to our youths about his experiences building a career as a music industry professional.
